Dr. Rux is a founding (2009) Senior Associate of The Grender Group, Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
Its focus is planning and managing business incubators. Janet Grender, a former university business student of Dr. Rux, is President.
1. Powerful Fundraising (workshop): How to apply tested techniques for planning, donor relations, feasibility, volunteers, marketing, campaigns, planned giving. (Annual state convention of the Wisconsin Association of Meeting Planners)
2. School Funding for the 21st Century (workshop): How to use the school foundation approach, apply small college model for funding, mobilize alumni, and create new power bases to be proactive in times of budget cutting. (Cooperative Educational Service Agency # 6, Oshkosh, Wisconsin)
3. How to Recruit and Retain "Baby Boomers" as Volunteers (workshop): How to apply tested change management techniques, state-of-the-art demographic and marketing research to enlist and serve a distinct, growing pool of volunteers. (Monthly meeting of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Volunteer Administration)
Resurrection Christian Academy - Consultant (research, writing, presentation) for its accrediation with the North Central Association. Dr. Rux is a Certified AdvancED Quality Assurance Review Chair for North Central.
Upper Iowa University - Research and create program and learner outcomes for new Master's in Higher Education Administration (MHEA); design four of the degree program's fifteen courses.
Center for Financial Leadership (CFL), Concordia University Wisconsin - Create the seven core courses on fundraising for CFL's Development Professional Certificate program.
Lutheran Urban Mission Initiative (LUMIN) - Conduct feasibility study of creating affordable new private Lutheran schools in central cities with wrap-around social services.
Reedsburg (Wisconsin) Utility Commission (RUC) - Develop marketing plan to help retail the RUC's $9 million investment in fiber-optic-based telecommunications services.
Travis Academy (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) - Develop business plan to help this private school for boys in the central city to expand its services.
Khamit Institute Charter School (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) - Write and manage $175,000 videoconferencing grant for a charter school in the central city that serves both students and the surrounding community.
CESA (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) # 6 (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) - Design and present an all-day workshop on how to create and develop "school foundations."
Milwaukee (Wisconsin) Leadership Training Academy - Strategic planning and grant writing for a charter school in the central city with focus on potential urban boarding school for at-risk boys.
Consultant to Debra Mandarino, M.D. (Madison, Wisconsin) - Strategic planning on how to develop program to serve children with autism in a time of budget cutting.
